In the 1960s, Fred Prysquel, the founder of the brand, developed a passion for car racing. He quickly became a reporter, travelling around the world to cover all the major Formula 1 races. In 1971, he embarked on a new adventure by opening his first Vilebrequin men's swimwear shop in Saint-Tropez. It soon became synonymous with elegant holidays.
