Vilebrequin, the original swimsuit tailor born in Saint-Tropez and known for its exceptional craftsmanship and refining the art of beach living, has partnered with Hamptons-based artist, Joel Mesler, on an exclusive swimwear capsule for men and kids.
The Summer 2025 launch will align with the opening of Mesler’s solo exhibition, “Miles of Smiles,” at Guild Hall in East Hampton in August 2025.

Known for his use of playful symbols, Mesler’s paintings shed light on universal themes by filtering them through autobiography, humor, and even self-deprecation. Joel was raised in Los Angeles where pool parties were a pivotal part of his upbringing, inspiring the water-like graphic with pool floats for the Vilebrequin collaboration.

New York-based artist Joel Mesler is known for his vibrant, autobiographical works that blend humor, self-deprecation, and universal themes. Raised in Los Angeles, where pool parties shaped his early years, Mesler infuses his art with pop culture, nature, and nostalgic references. After earning an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute, he began his career as a gallerist before focusing on his own creative practice. His work has been featured in The New York Times, T Magazine, and Cultured Magazine.
The campaign was shot on Joel and his son on location at LongHouse Reserve and Mesler’s private home, both in East Hampton, by Jamie Diamond and Sal Lahoud.
