The Artists’ Editions: ‘Mareviva’ by Kenny Scharf
The Third Print from the Collaboration—Curated by JRP|Editions
LA-born artist Kenny Scharf found fame on the New York art scene in the 80s. Known for his pop-surrealist paintings, his practice spans painting, sculpture, fashion, video, performance art, and street art. Reaching beyond the boundaries of fine art, his scenes and characters depict a cartoon-like world imbued with vibrant, optimistic colors.
“ Part of what I do and what I want to do is I want to bring art into everyday life. If you are confronted by something just walking in the street, that might change your day—it might inspire you. ” —Kenny Scharf
