Maison Kitsuné x Vilebrequin: exploration

01 May 2024 - Collaborations

Maison Kitsuné and Vilebrequin have teamed up to create a capsule collection of swimwear essentials for your next destination holiday. Directed by Basil Bertrand, the campaign is set in Bali as an invitation to the island life. A call for nature from the tropical forest to an endless day at the beach.

The collection defines an effortless wardrobe for a casual day at the seaside: a tote bag, a bucket hat and a resort shirt in linen are paired with a bikini, a pareo and of course the iconic Vilebrequin's signature 'Moorea' shorts. In a nod to the Tropézienne brand, the tropical flowers prints are used throughout much of the collection.

The play of light and movement inspires a camo-effect wave pattern, which conveys the relaxed energy of the Bali way of life. The surf wave becomes abstract on the collaboration logo and delves further into the postcard aesthetic. The perfect collection for the holidays season.
