Vilebrequin Summer Tour | Martha’s Vineyard
Martha’s Vineyard: into the wild

On the day after the Woodstock Festival, a part of America's youth, excited by the birth of the hippie movement, takes refuge on the island. Its luxuriant nature, its vineyards and its long sandy beaches, its unique atmosphere inspired this generation in search of new values. Here, music is free, played by all, at any time of the day or night, in the fields, the farms, and even the gas station's restrooms. Lionel Richie's band, The Commodores, played in Martha’s Vineyard for hours in a simple parking. The famous rock band produced by Andy Warhol, the Velvet Underground, performed for 3 entire nights in a row in the most unlikely places in town, in front of an audience of roughly 10 people. Definitely another era.
